Applying Critical Thinking
Applying Critical Thinking is a learning space with practical application. The teacher is invited to develop greater skills in facilitating critical thinking in the classroom by exploring ways that critical thinking, including Socratic Dialogue, can be fostered and ways that various other critical thinking models and approaches can be embedded within units of work. The critical mind is a questioning mind, an inquiring and probing mind continually probing subjects with questions. By learning the skills and attitudes of critical thinking, we come to recognise our own and others’ presuppositions and work out the implications of our thinking. Critical thinking has application across all curriculum areas and in the living of life each day. Beyond the learning space, one hour of one-to-one coaching focused entirely on your work is included.
